The Scoop on PLLA!
You keep hearing about PLLA but do you know what it is AND how it works? This is a MUST READ if you’re thinking about adding PLLA to your esthetician offerings.
Collagen is a type of protein fiber found abundantly throughout our body. Collagen provides strength and cushioning to many different areas of the body, including the skin. In Greek collagen (kólla) means “glue”. Collagen is found in our various types of connective tissues such as cartilage, tendons, bones, and ligaments.
The body naturally makes its own collagen by breaking down dietary protein into amino acids. The amino acids build the various types of protein in the body, including collagen. Keeping skin hydrated with water, plant-based foods, and consistent quality skin care is possibly the easiest way to boost collagen. As you likely already knowing, aging slows down this process.
That’s where PLLA comes in!
The 3 most effective ways to treat skin aging is to turn over skin cells, stimulate collagen, and add volume. The formula in PLLA is designed to do precisely that… beginning with Poly-L-Lactic Acid (PLLA).
Because aging facial skin is lacking in collagen, it then loses volume and the elasticity of skin decreases. PLLA counteracts this loss because it stimulates collagen production again and gives the face new volume. When we increase volume, wrinkles plump out and the texture of skin begins looking more youthful.
The PLLA formula includes additional anti-aging favorites like caffeine, niacinamide, and EFG peptides. A companion product called CaviPLLA incorporates a penetration process to spread it deeper through the surface layers of the skin by attaching itself to hair follicles.
The newest product (at the time of this writing) Cell Repair Cream takes cell turnover to the next level with 4GF and snail mucus filtrate, hyaluronic acid, glycoprotein, proteoglycans, and antimicrobial and copper peptides. This creates a WOW effect!
Stem Cell Mist contains Lotus Plant Stem Cells which is effective at forming a protective barrier. When used on top of other products, it will improve results because it helps the product stay in place. Hydrolyzed collagen relaxes tired and dull skin and aloe vera leaf extract helps heal the skin and makes the skin glow.
If you know someone (like myself) who uses PLLA products regularly, a common trait will be moist skin. I can’t tell you how many times I am asked what I have on my skin.
By using high performance formula’s like those found in PLLA, we can treat anti-aging at the cellular level, in addition to managing aging signs that have already surfaced. PLLA treatments can restore health to skin but even more importantly it will slow down the effects of aging before it starts.
PLLA products are designed to be used on a daily basis and each treatment builds on the previous for ongoing benefits. The concentration of these ingredients in mask form, followed by the continuation of using PLLA companion products is an ideal skin aging reversal regimen.
NOTE: Just like aging doesn’t happen in a matter of a few weeks or a few months, the desired level of reversal on aging skin will take time. How much time will vary from person to person. The more damaged and depleted skin is, the more time it will take. BUT THE GOOD NEWS IS if this product is used consistently, I’ve seen great progress! Don’t give up!
